I've redefined my idea of sanity the past few years. Yesterday, I went to the grocery store at 10 pm. I was there 25 minutes kid free, I felt like I had been on a vacation. Tonight at dinner no child of mine would stay in their seats. Normally, one or two will wonder off on occasion during a meal, but today no one would stay seated. I gave up trying and sat to eat my meal. Of course then 2/3 wanted to sit in my lap. sigh. If only I had a bigger lap ;-)
