Happy Halloween!!!!

I know its early for Halloween but we just could not wait! Tonight was our Church party! Grandma Paula and Grandpa Joe were kind enough to stay home with Lillian aka "our pumpkin" while I went to the dinner. I then came home so they could hand out candy to the Children at the "trunk or treat" its so fun to see all the costumes!

Elliott is currently Trunk or Treating with his dad.... Elliott doesn't like candy other than Lollipops.... :-) I can't wait until they get home!

Nesting....

Poor Steven... He's been waiting for this baby long enough. With Elliott, Steven was in the middle of finals so he really did not notice the 'nesting'. I made dozens of Christmas Cookies while waiting for Elliott. This time around I do the laundry every other day and enjoy every second of being a mother of a toddler who sleeps through the night. Two weeks of waiting for this baby has gotten to Steven. The following is, well Nesting Male Style... It was a lot of fun and a lot of work...

We re mulched my Parents yard. Two truck loads of mulch, 6 cubic yards, later we had a very tired dirty family but a lovely front and back yard. YET NO BABY!

Pumpkin Patching

This year Elliott searched and searched....

Until he found the right one!

On top of a hay pyramid after finding our way though the corn maze!!! Elliott loved running ahead and telling us "Opps Dead end!" I am using Elliott to hide the fact that my due date is one week away! We can't wait to meet our new pumpkin!

We had so much fun! Elliott keeps asking for more pumpkin patch! Little does he know that his Preschool group is going in a couple weeks and also his Nana P wants to take him one weekend. Lots more Pumpkin patch Elliott for you!

The new bike!!!

We are having a......

Hello Friends and family!!!

I apologies for taking so long to make this wonderful announcement! Summer has flown by us and we have enjoyed every minute. We found out in May that we are having a
baby girl come join our family in October!!!

This means I need two things...

1. Baby girl name suggestions

2. A guess when our Angel will actually arrive. My due date is October 13 according to my doctor.... I tell everyone the 12th or 14th because I like even numbers (odd I know!)

Let us know your thoughts! :-)

Elliott has posted his suggestion as

1. Apple Gigi (at first it was apple car then he over heard his mother (aka me) talk about the name gigi and I guess he fell in love with it... or the reaction that Steven has when ever he says it.... Elliott gets offended when Steven and I discuss other name options. He was very concerned when I checked out baby name books from the library. We have compromised (we do this a lot in our house) and he can name a teddy bear 'apple gigi' and give it to his sister once she comes.

2. When will your sister arrive? A big question for a toddler. His response... "NOW no Later"

Cravings...

Okay those of you who know, know.

The most disappointing thing for me with pregnancy is the cravings. I grew up watching I love Lucy and her cravings of pickles ice cream and strawberries (or some bazar combination). I was so excited. Couldn't wait for bazar food combos to sound yummy and to crave them. no, nothing, zero, nada.

I ate a lot of fudgsicle with Elliott for breakfast and for dinner or lunch enjoyed eating at subway with extra banana peppers but that was really it. Every once and a while I would try the line "I think the baby needs an ice cream." However, both Steven and I knew the truth... it was truely I who wanted the ice cream. I did drink a ton of milk, so maybe that could have been a craving.

This time was even less exciting. If I ate dessert in the evening I would wake up wide awake in the middle of the night. So sad.

Last week we did have a break though. I woke up wanting chocolate chip pancakes. Other than living with Jenny number 1 (yes we number them) in 2002 I don't think I have had chocolate chip pancakes. So we had them and they were amazing. Elliott insisted on having plain pancakes... silly kid.
